S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. was established in 1979 in Bangor, Maine to provide geotechnical engineering, geology, environmental consulting and construction quality assurance testing services. In addition to our corporate office, our firm includes two branch offices in New Hampshire and three branch offices in Maine to more efficiently provide services to our clients throughout northern New England.

S. W. Cole Engineering provides services in three major areas: geotechnical engineering, scientific and environmental consulting, and field and laboratory testing. We are a team of more than 80 engineers, scientists and technicians which annually provides services on more than 1,800 projects. Our 30-plus years of experience and six regional offices have allowed us to work with a wide variety of complex geologic and subsurface conditions throughout New England. Our engineers, geologists and construction materials technicians take a hands-on approach and understand the impact of subsurface conditions on construction budgets and schedules. We have a proven track record of aiding the owner, design team and construction team in completing successful projects.

EXPERIENCE WITH WIND AND ENERGY PROJECTS
Our experience performing professional engineering and construction materials services on power distribution and service facilities includes work with major public electricity generators and suppliers, private power companies and developers, and consultant team members. Engineering assessment projects have ranged in size from small buildings and electrical substation expansions to evaluation of large-scale power generation plants (biomass, hydroelectric and natural gas), support towers for power transmission lines, and a wide variety of services on wind farm projects.
